Overview

GP Practice Annual CPD First Aid Training is a purpose-built first-aid CPD package for GP practices, primary-care networks, and community health services — covering the specific emergency scenarios and casualty types most likely to present in a primary-care setting.

Who it’s for

For GP practice teams — clinical staff, healthcare assistants, practice nurses, phlebotomists, receptionists, and practice managers — who need currency in first-aid response for the range of emergencies that can present in a general-practice environment. Also suitable for community pharmacy teams and other primary-care settings.

What you’ll learn

• Assess and respond to emergencies presenting in a primary-care waiting room, consulting room, or reception area
• Manage adult and paediatric collapse, cardiac arrest, and unresponsive casualty scenarios
• Recognise and respond to anaphylaxis, hypoglycaemia, and other common primary-care emergencies
• Use AEDs, oxygen, and other in-practice emergency equipment
• Manage handover to emergency services or on-call clinical support
• Refresh on team roles, incident documentation, and post-incident review

Format

• Delivery: in-person, hosted at your practice for the team, or at our Bristol venue for open cohorts
• Cohort size: up to your practice team size, up to 12 delegates per instructor
• Materials: printed learner materials, practice-specific scenarios, and certificate on successful completion
• Assessment: ongoing practical assessment throughout the training day

Outcomes
