Who’s it for?
For employers, the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 requires them to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This includes carrying out a risk assessment, appointing a suitable amount of first aiders and providing appropriate first aid training.
This qualification is often a requirement for anyone who works in environments such as construction, manufacturing or hospitality.
The course requires three days (18 hours) of classroom attendance generally running from 9am to 5pm each day.
Learners are required to complete practical assessments and exams.
For added reassurance, each learner is assessed throughout the course using a range of practical demonstrations, question and answer sessions, quizzes and engaging activities designed to coach and support you.
To ensure you get the most effective learning experience, learners must be physically able to participate as you will be required to participate in practical scenario based training sessions.
