About the course
Overview
Managing Movement: Thoracic Spine and Ribs is a Kinetic Control® (KC) module focused on the thoracic and rib cage region — covering assessment and retraining strategies for a region increasingly recognised as central to shoulder, cervical, and lumbo-pelvic function.
Who it’s for
For physiotherapists, sports therapists, osteopaths, and rehab practitioners working with thoracic and rib cage presentations — from postural dysfunction and chronic pain to shoulder- and neck-related driving impairments and breathing-mechanic considerations.
What you’ll learn
- KC-informed assessment of the thoracic spine and rib cage
- Retraining strategies for common thoracic and rib movement impairments
- How thoracic mobility and control affect adjacent regions (cervical, shoulder, lumbo-pelvic)
- Progression frameworks from clinical retraining through to functional and sport-specific application
- Integration with the wider Kinetic Control framework
Outcomes
On completion you’ll have applied KC-informed knowledge of thoracic spine and rib cage assessment and retraining — ready to integrate into clinical practice across MSK, sports, and rehab caseloads.
How it's delivered
Taught in person by an accredited tutor, at the venue shown for each date. Expect practical, hands-on sessions, so wear comfortable clothes you can move in.
