The QA Level 2 Award in Fire Safety (RQF) is a 1-day accredited course covering the essentials of workplace fire safety awareness — a foundation qualification for any team member with fire-safety responsibilities.

Who it’s for

For designated fire wardens, fire marshals, health and safety representatives, and any workplace team member with active fire-safety duties. Also suitable for organisations delivering broader fire-safety awareness across all staff.

What you’ll learn

• The three elements of the fire triangle and common fire hazards
• Fire prevention in the workplace
• Recognising fire safety signs and equipment
• Safe use of fire extinguishers by type
• Evacuation procedures and the role of fire wardens
• Post-incident reporting and record-keeping

Format

• Duration: 1 day
• Delivery: in-person, at your premises for on-site groups or at our Bristol venue for open courses
• Cohort size: up to 12 delegates per instructor
• Materials: printed learner workbook and QA-issued certificate on successful completion
• Assessment: ongoing practical assessment plus a short evaluation on the day

Accreditation and certification

Certified by Qualsafe Awards (QA) against the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) at Level 2. Certification valid for 3 years.
