Course Description
As many companies begin to amend their business model to support home working, they may not be aware of the health and safety implications that come with home workers. Employers have a responsibility to ensure home workers are treated equitably and are suitably risk assessed and prepared in case of an emergency. When working from an office, an employer is required by the Health & Safety act to have a suitably trained First Aider on site at all times. This is not possible for home workers and, although not a requirement, best practice would advise they are appropriately trained to administer first aid in a home environment.
This short course allows home workers to understand what risks they can be exposed to working from home, what injuries may occur as a result, and what first aid and safety measures they can administer to themselves or their household in emergency situations.
