This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides learners with the knowledge and understanding to safeguard and protect children, young people and adults at risk of harm and abuse in the workplace, as well as how to recognise the signs and symptoms and respond to evidence or concerns that a vulnerable person has been abused.Who’s it for?
The QA Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People and Adults at Risk (RQF) qualification is intended for those who are working with children, young people and adults at risk, including those in voluntary or unpaid positions.
This qualification is also suitable for those who have a specific responsibility in safeguarding and protecting in environments such as the NHS, education providers and social services.
What’s involved?
During this half day course, learners will gain an understanding of how to safeguard and protect children, young people and adults. Topics covered include: safeguarding and protection responsibilities, different forms of abuse and how to respond to disclosure or suspected abuse. - Learners must be at least 18 years old on the first day of the training
