Movement Science Practitioner: Part B (eLearning) represents not only the next stage of MSP Series but also the pre-requisite for attending face-to-face MSP workshops. Taken as a whole, Part B further develops practitioners’ abilities to enhance their client’s movement efficiency through the application of contemporary movement science.

Part B comprises an e-learning module followed by three, 14-hour tutor-led courses. Please be aware that the price advertised is for the initial e-learning only. Once completed, you can book a face-to-face course with one of our tutors across the world.

To enrol in this module, you must first have Movement Science Practitioner Part A.

This course will help you to:

  • Understand movement presentations in challenging clients and special populations
  • Adapt movement patterns for long term change

Following this course, you will be able to:

  • Use a movement observation framework to evaluate patterns of movement (trunk, neck and shoulder, hip and lower limb) in any Pilates repertoire, exercise, or functional movement
  • Understand the contribution of muscle synergies to a wide range of different motor task and exercise situations
  • Interpret muscle synergy interactions to evaluate movement efficiency in any task or exercise
  • Apply targeted retraining to improve movement efficiency, using existing and new repertoire/
  • Apply movement science principles in your exercise delivery
  • Have tools at your fingertips to create or modify retraining strategies
  • Enhance your skillset of verbal, visual, and tactile cueing to change patterns of movement
  • Enhance your skills of observation and exercise delivery so you can: Interpret the patterns of movement you see in clients with pain and recurrence of pain (in the case of clinical practitioners)
  • Consider how movement patterns may influence execution of repertoire, performance, and risk of injury
  • Maintain and improve quality of life
  • Deliver a client focused programme to achieve quicker and lasting results

This is the second modules in a series for professionals working in fitness and wellness to improve movement and performance in their clients with a focus for Pilates instructors and other movement professionals

This is a part of the Comera Movement Science suite of Movement Science practitioner courses – blending functional anatomy, biomechanics and neuroscience research for improving healthy movement

The aim of the course is to help you understand:

• How multiple muscles contribute to any one movement and how changes in patterns of muscle activation and coordination and will alter and optimise efficiency
