GP Practice Annual CPD First Aid Training
Course Description
All GP practices require annual basic life support training. This course gives options for the varied requirements for different surgeries and practices that require training for both clinical and non clinical staff. It also includes varying levels of timings and learning outcomes dependant on clinical equipment to hand and scope of practice. This gives every customer the most suitable options and make the course far more diverse, flexible and sellable. The customer may also add in any other topic required if agreed and a suitable time is allowed to fit into the course. A basic assessment is recorded for due diligence and self certification with learning outcomes included. A course register will be required.Who’s it for?
This course is appropriate either for GP practice and staff or instructors looking to deliver the course. Please be aware that to deliver the course you must be at least 18 and already hold a minimum of FREC 3. qualification.What’s involved?
There are three delivery options for this course:Option 1
- 3 hours BLS + AED.
- Aims, roles and responsibilities.
- The primary survey.
- CPR +AED
- The unconscious casualty.
- 4 hours BLS + AED + Oxygen therapy.
- Aims, roles and responsibilities.
- The primary survey.
- CPR + AED
- The unconscious casualty.
- Oxygen therapy. Including masks and basic airway adjuncts.
- 5 hour BLS + AED + Oxygen + medical emergency.
- Aims, roles and responsibilities.
- The primary survey.
- CPR + AED
- The unconscious casualty.
- Oxygen therapy including masks and basic airway adjuncts.
- Medical emergencies, Asthma, Anaphylaxis, choking, heart attack and angina, seizures.
Pre-requisite
There are no prerequisites for this course but it will be most appropriate for people working in a GP practice.What’s included?
