Including eLearning, theory and practical sessions, we provide a practical, hands-on approach teaching learners to deal with emergency situations as the arise with confidence in a fast, safe and effective way.
On successful completion of this course, learners will receive a Level 3 award in First Aid at Work e-certificate which is valid for three years.
Who’s it for?
This course is specifically for those who hold a current First Aid at Work qualification that is due to expire.
For employers, the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 requires them to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This includes carrying out a risk assessment, appointing a suitable amount of first aiders and providing appropriate first aid training.
This qualification is often a requirement for anyone who works in environments such as construction, manufacturing or hospitality.
Please be aware that as soon as you certificate expires, you can no longer be considered a legally qualified a First Aider in your workplace.
The course requires learners to complete around 6 hours flexible pre-learning online followed by two days (6 hours) of classroom attendance generally running from 9am to 5pm each day.
Learners are required to complete practical assessments and exams.
For added reassurance, each learner is assessed throughout the course using a range of practical demonstrations, question and answer sessions, quizzes and engaging activities designed to coach and support you.
To ensure you get the most effective learning experience, learners must be physically able to participate as you will be required to participate in practical scenario based training sessions.
A current (in date) FAW certificate must be produced before or on day one of this course*
Computer with internet connection
