First Aid at Work | 2-day Blended Course
Course Description
This First Aid at Work (FAW) course is designed for learners who wish to become ‘First Aiders’ in the workplace under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. By completing the eLearning modules and attending this certified two-day comprehensive training course will provides learners with a range of basic first aid skills, knowledge and confidence needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations found in the workplace.
By taking a blended learning approach in which, we integrate online learning (eLearning) with traditional face-to-face activities. Learners spend less time in the classroom and more time studying independently, at a time and in a place to suit learners.
This is an in depth and comprehensive first aid course that will cover a broad range of first aid scenarios and emergencies. Including eLearning, theory and practical sessions, we provide a practical, hands-on approach teaching learners to deal with emergency situations as the arise with confidence in a fast, safe and effective way.
On successful completion of this course, learners will receive a Level 3 award in First Aid at Work e-certificate which is valid for three years.
Who’s it for?
Anyone. For employers, the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 requires them to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This includes carrying out a risk assessment, appointing a suitable amount of first aiders and providing appropriate first aid training.
This qualification is often a requirement for anyone who works in environments such as construction, manufacturing or hospitality.
What’s involved?
The course requires learners to complete around 6 hours flexible pre-learning online followed by two days (12 hours) of classroom attendance generally running from 9am to 5pm each day. Learners are required to complete practical assessments and exams.
For added reassurance, each learner is assessed throughout the course using a range of practical demonstrations, question and answer sessions, quizzes and engaging activities designed to coach and support you.
To ensure you get the most effective learning experience, learners must be physically able to participate as you will be required to participate in practical scenario based training sessions.
